International Women’s Day – Embracing Diversity
At the Discover App we believe that true empowerment comes from embracing diversity. Our platform is home to a myriad of independent businesses, and among them, numerous ventures are led by inspiring women entrepreneurs. This International Women’s Day, we’d like to shine a spotlight on some of the women who have overcome challenges, broken barriers, and contributed to the vibrant communities within our locations.

I Luv Me Most, Kendal: Iluvmemost Boutique, home to specialist lagenlook fashion, is based on Finkle Street, Kendal. The shop is run by a wonderful woman who empowers every customer who walks through the door! Expect a warm welcome and a confidence boost whether you’re visiting in store or on the shop’s socials!
Waffle & Co., Saffron Walden: Waffle+Co began their quest to change opinions of the humble waffle back in July 2018 by creating events called Women Who Waffle; the idea was to bring together local women through a love of wine, conversation, and good food – waffles! From a horsebox, to a food van and now to the heart of Saffron Walden in a permanent shop, their entrepreneurial story is inspirational.

For example, the ‘Your Local’ community hub in Portobello are hosting an IWD event with women-owned local organisations, a raffle, gifts, merchandise and free hot drinks! (10am-4pm) - Share stories of inspiring women in your community using the hashtag #InspireInclusion.
