The Discover team were honored to be invited to Mansfield BID’s ‘A Night to Celebrate Mansfield’ on the 9th November.
We arrived in Mansfield to a bustling crowd of business owners and employees dressed to the nines outside the civic center. As we made our way through the doors, we were warmly welcomed with a glass of fizz & a flashy photo op! We then followed the red carpet to an enormous room, decked out with on-theme tablescapes and a huge stage where the sparkling awards were lined on a blue-clothed table.
It was wholesome to see business owners and employees meet their friends and catch up with those they don’t see often while gathering at the bar to grab their first drink. Witnessing this makes it very difficult to deny the community spirit within the heart of Mansfield.
BID CEO, Jay Rowlinson, gave a speech to welcome us all and we loved hearing of the BID’s achievements (including 30+ new business openings) and the achievements of the award winners. We were particularly touched by the best newcomer award (won by The Little Lotions Company) and the award for courage in adversity which was given to this year’s inspirational winner, Hayley Wood.
The BID had also arrange THE most stunning buffet I’ve ever seen. 3 colourful tables of desserts, meats, cheeses, fruit, veg and more – think charcuterie board x100.
The party was off to a flying start with music by ‘The Big Men in Town’ which resulted in almost the whole room (and it was a BIG room) up and dancing.
The night was a huge success and the drinks were flowing until closing (12am!). We were thrilled to be invited to such a special event, thank you Mansfield BID!
